Terms of Service

By creating an account, listing a business, purchasing a gift card, or otherwise using Perqora (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Perqora operates a local marketplace for discounted digital gift cards. We connect shoppers with participating local businesses, facilitate the sale and storage of closed-loop prepaid gift cards, and provide tools for redemption and reporting. Perqora is not the issuer of the goods or services a gift card can be redeemed for.

You must be the age of majority in your province and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Gift cards are sold at the price displayed at checkout, in Canadian dollars. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; by purchasing, you authorize that charge. A card is issued to your wallet only after payment has cleared. Creating and holding a shopper account is free; there is no membership fee.

Perqora gift cards are closed-loop: each card may be redeemed only at the specific business that issued it. Cards are redeemed in store by presenting a single-use QR code or entering the card code. Partial redemptions are supported, and the remaining balance is tracked on the card. Any expiry, usage restrictions or terms specific to a card are disclosed before purchase.

Gift cards comply with applicable provincial prepaid-card legislation, which in most provinces prohibits expiry of the funded balance. Promotional or bonus value may carry separate terms. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law, and may not be resold outside the Service.

Shopper accounts are free. If Perqora ever introduces optional paid plans (for shoppers or businesses), they will be described clearly before you are charged, and existing users will receive advance notice. Anyone who previously held a paid Perqora+ membership may cancel it at any time from their account and retains any gift cards already in their wallet.

Perqora may run promotions and giveaways, such as a monthly draw from the waitlist. No purchase is necessary to enter or win; entry, eligibility, draw timing and claim periods are described at the point of entry. Prizes are as stated, non-transferable unless we say otherwise, and unclaimed prizes may be redrawn. Third-party brands named as prizes (for example, a restaurant gift card) are not sponsors of, or affiliated with, Perqora or the promotion.

If you list a business, you represent that you are authorized to do so and that your listings, brand assets and card terms are accurate and lawful. You set the face value, discount, batch size and schedule for each drop. You are responsible for honouring valid redemptions at your locations. Payouts are made to your connected payment account on the schedule described in your dashboard, net of the discount you fund.

Because gift cards are issued instantly, all sales are generally final. If a card was issued in error, was not delivered, or a business fails to honour a valid card, contact us and we will investigate in good faith. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to defraud a business, circumvent card security, resell cards off-platform, scrape or overload our systems, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The Perqora name, logo, and platform are owned by Perqora and protected by law. Business logos and brand assets remain the property of their respective owners, who grant Perqora a licence to display them for the purpose of operating the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Perqora is not responsible for the quality of goods or services provided by a participating business. To the extent permitted by law, Perqora's aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Perqora in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where changes are material, provide additional notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and your applicable province, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
